Site Description
Approaching from Ennis, there was a passing loop before the line split in two with the line to Kilrush on the Down side and that to Kilkee on the Up. The signal cabin was between the loop and the junction. There was a triangular platform serving both lines with the station building located in
the middle of this. Each end of the platform (three in total) had a water column with a water tank adjacent to the station building. There was also a loop on the southern side of the station, allowing trains to run direct from Kilkee to Kilrush. There was a little used platform on this line.
There is a modern day narrow gauge railway at the station.
